What is SQI ICT Scholarship?
Since 2011, SQI College of ICT, formerly known as SQI ICT Academy, has been committed to empowering young people through its annual scholarship program. Established to create greater access to quality ICT education, the initiative has helped train and certify over 20,000 youths who now occupy valuable positions across various organizations in Nigeria.
This year, SQI scholarship is open to individuals between the ages of 13 and 35, regardless of their educational or professional background.

How It Works
At SQI College of ICT, our scholarship process is designed to be simple, transparent, and equitable—from application through selection to scholarship award.

How to qualify:
- The scholarship test is over 100. The candidate’s score determines the discount that the candidate will enjoy.
- To be awarded Full Scholarship: A score above 79% is required this covers 100% of the tuition and is applicable to one course only (Except the Generative AI Courses).
- A score below 80% but above 39% awards a Discount-Based Scholarship.
- This means that your score corresponds directly to your discount. For example, a score of 50% grants 50% scholarship discount.
- A score below 40% will get a flat 20% discount for compensation.
- This year’s scholarship test shall be conducted on-site and online at all our campuses. (Check here for addresses)
TERMS & CONDITIONS
HOW THE TEST IS HELD:
a. The test will be conducted on-site and online at all campuses.

ACCEPTANCE FEE:
a. All successful candidates must pay a non-refundable ₦10,000 acceptance fee. The acceptance fee is for acknowledgement of the scholarship.
b. Payment for this must be made within 2 weeks after taking the test, If the deadline is missed, the scholarship will be forfeited.
COURSE COMMENCEMENT:
The first cohort starts 3rd of August, 2026.
If this is missed, then the available timing would be during weekend classes or the next cohort starting 7th of September, 2026.
COURSE COMPLETION:
All recipients must complete their course by 31st of July, 2027 regardless of deferment.
To request for deferment, a written notification must be submitted to the Registrar’s office for approval.
LIMIT OF COURSES:
The scholarship can be applied to one course only (Except the Generative AI Courses).
To pursue additional courses, full tuition payment would be required.
GOOD BEHAVIOR:
Successful candidates are expected to be well-behaved and be good ambassadors of the college. Bad behavior, whether on or off-campus, may lead to forfeiture of the scholarship.
RULES OF PARTICIPATION:
A candidate can take the test only once during the scholarship period.
Anyone who attempts it more than once will be disqualified.
Malpractice during the test will lead to disqualification immediately.
ELIGIBILITY:
a. The candidate must be between 13 and 35 years old.
b. The scholarship is open to students within Africa only.
c. It is not available for international students (those outside Africa).
d. The scholarship applies only to professional programs.
DISCOUNT COMBINATIONS:
a. The scholarship cannot be combined with main discounts (like IT, corporate, or Laurel discounts).
b. However, it can be combined with installment bonuses, such as one-time payments or 50% payments.
