BSc. ACADEMIC PATHWAY
PATHWAY 01
Five (5) Year Duration
Direct entry from secondary school into a complete undergraduate programme.
Available Programmes
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS :
BSc. Computer Science, Cyber Security & Information Systems
- Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects either in SSCE, NECO, GCE or NABTEB
- Results may be combined from not more than two sittings.
- The required subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
Biology/Agricultural Science/Technical Drawing/Economics or any other Social Science
subjects, as applicable.
BSc. Accounting & Business Administration
- Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects either in SSCE, NECO, GCE or NABTEB
- Results may be combined from not more than two sittings.
- The required subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other
relevant subjects from Geography/Economics/Commerce/Agricultural Science,
Physics/Chemistry/Biology.
PATHWAY 02
Four (4) Year Duration
Direct entry for candidates with diplomas, A’Levels or professional qualifications.

- Five (5) credit passes (maximum of 2 sittings) including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agric Science, Economics, Geography in SSCE, NECO, GCE & NABTEB.
- At least Upper Credit National Diploma in Computer Science from a recognised polytechnic or equivalent.
- Good passes at advanced level of GCE (WAEC) or its equivalent in Mathematics and Physics and any other subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Studies, Geography or any other social science subject
- National Diploma (ND) with at least lower credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology and University Diploma of LAUTECH or any other relevant discipline from a recognised polytechnic.
- Passes in Intermediate Level of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria (CPN) or another recognized professional body.
- Third Class Degree in a Science-based discipline may be considered.
- National Diploma (ND) with Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology or Upper Credit in another related science-based course.
- NCE (not lower than credit) in Physics/Biology/Chemistry/Integrated Science/Health Education is acceptable.
B.Sc. Cyber Security & Information Systems
- Five (5) credit passes (maximum of 2 sittings) including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agric Science, Economics or Geography in SSCE, NECO, GCE & NABTEB.
- Two A’Level subjects including Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with minimum of Credit passes.
- At least Upper Credit National Diploma in Computer Science from a recognised polytechnic or equivalent.
- NCE with at least Credit in Computer Science / Mathematics; Computer Science / Physics; or Mathematics / Physics.
- Good A’Level passes in Mathematics, Physics plus one of Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Studies or Geography.
- ND with Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology (Upper Credit) or NCE in Physics / Biology / Chemistry / Integrated Science (Credit minimum).
B.Sc. Accounting & Business Administration
- Meets the O’Level requirements stated in Pathway A.
- Good passes in at least two relevant A’Level subjects.
- ND (or equivalent) from a recognised polytechnic, or LAUTECH Sub-Professional Diploma with minimum Upper Credit in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Business Management, Marketing or Purchasing & Supply.
- HND (or equivalent) or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma with minimum Lower Credit in relevant courses.
- ND with Upper Credit in Environmental Management, Engineering, Transport & Management Sciences.
Inter / intra school transfer
Inter – Candidates transferring from within the institution
Intra – Candidates transferring from another institution
- Intra-university Admission is into 200 level for candidates from recognised, reputable institutions.
- All students in this category must meet the relevant minimum admission requirements and have a satisfactory disciplinary record.
- Inter-university candidates must fulfil 100-level university, faculty and departmental course specifications.
- Transferring candidates must have passed all 100-level courses (no Course Still Outstanding) and meet departmental requirements.

Three (3) Year Duration
Advanced entry for HND holders and professionals seeking a degree.

- Five (5) credit passes (2 sittings) including English, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry, Biology, Agric Science, Economics or Geography in SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent with at least Upper Credit in CyberSecurity from a recognized Polytechnic in a relevant discipline
B.Sc. Business Administration
- Five (5) credit passes (2 sittings) including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other relevant subjects from Geography/Economics/Commerce/Agricultural Science, Physics/Chemistry/Biology. in SSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB.
- HND or equivalent from a recognised polytechnic, or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in a relevant discipline with minimum Lower Credit.
- A B.Sc. with a Pass in a relevant discipline may also be considered.

- Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least lower credit from NBTE licensed Polytechnics in any of the following courses: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Physics Electronics, Statistics, Pure and Applied Mathematics, Cyber Security, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering.
- Applicants with at least lower credit from CPN Certificate may be considered.
B.Sc. Accounting
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) O’ Level Credit passes in SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB
- Credits must be obtained at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics and Economics and any two of Financial Accounting, Marketing, Commerce or any other related subjects.
- Applicants with English Language, Mathematics and Economics with any two of science subjects may also be admitted.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent with minimum of Lower Credit from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in relevant disciplines
- Applicants with relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, CIBN, ANAN, CII, CITN, CIMARK without HND may be considered as professional candidates.
B.Sc. Business Administration
- Applicants must possess five (5) O’ Level Credit passes in SSCE, NECO, GCE or NABTEB
- Credits must be obtained at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant disciplines.
- B.Sc. with at least Third Class in relevant disciplines.
- Candidates with relevant professional qualifications (obtained through examination) from certified professional bodies such as NIM, CIPM, CIA, CIMARK, ICSAN, without HND may be considered for admission.
NOTE: All applicants to the 300 level Top-Up Conversion Programme must attach NYSC Certificate of Completion, Exception or Exclusion to their credentials.
