(A) FIVE (5) – YEAR DURATION (100 Level Entry Point)

(i) B.Sc. Computer Science

(ii) B.Sc. Cyber Security

(iii) B.Sc. Information Systems

(iv) B.Sc. Accounting

(v) B.Sc. Business Administration

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS A(i) – (iii)

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science/Technical Drawing/Economics or any other Social Science subject, as applicable.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR A (vi) – (v)

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings and the subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science/Technical Drawing/Economics or any other Social Science subject, as applicable.

(B) FOUR (4) – YEAR DURATION (200 Level Entry Point)

(i) B.Sc. Computer Science

(ii) B.Sc. Cyber Security

(iii) B.Sc. Information Systems

(iv) B.Sc. Accounting

(v) B.Sc. Business Administration

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (i) – (iv)

Applicants must possess at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings as stated in A (vi-xv). In addition to the O’ Level requirements, applicants must have any of the following depending on the programme applied for:

(a) Good passes at Advanced Level of GCE (WAEC) (or its equivalent) in Mathematics,  Physics; and any other subjects from the following: Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Computer Studies, Geography or any other social science subject.

(b) National Diploma with Lower Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology and University Diploma of LAUTECH or any other relevant discipline from a recognised Polytechnic;

(c) Passes in Intermediate Level of Computer Professionals (Registration) Council of Nigeria or any other recognised Professional Bodies; 

(d) Third Class Degree in a Science-based discipline may also be considered for admission.

(e) National Diploma with Lower Credit in Science Laboratory Technology and other related science-based courses (Upper Credit); or NCE in Physics/Biology/Chemistry/Integrated Science/Health Education (Not lower than Credit) is acceptable

For Cyber Security and Information Systems:
Candidates may be eligible for admission to 200 level if they have any of the following in addition to University Admission requirements:

– Five (5) Credit pass at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics or Geography at Senior Secondary Certificate or its equivalent.

– Two A’ level Subjects including Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with minimum of Credit passes.

– At least Upper Credit Pass in National Diploma (ND) in Computer Science from a recognized Polytechnic or its equivalent.

– National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least credit pass both in Computer Science/Mathematics; Computer Science/Physics or Mathematics/Physics.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B (v) – (v)

While requirements stated in A (i) – (v) are applicable, applicants opting for B (i) – (iv) must in addition possess any of the following:

1. Good passes in at least two relevant A’ Level subjects.
2. National Diploma (or its equivalent) from any recognized Polytechnic, or LAUTECH Sub-Professional Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant courses such as Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Business Management or Business Administration, Marketing, Purchasing and Supply.
3. Higher National Diploma (or its equivalent) from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant courses as listed in (b) above.
4. National Diploma with Upper Credit or its equivalent in Environmental Management, Engineering, Transport & Management Sciences

INTER/INTRA SCHOOL ADMISSION

This type of admission is into the 200 level. Candidates from recognized and reputable institutions may be allowed to transfer to 200 levels provided they meet the relevant minimum admission requirements of the university as stated earlier and subject to satisfactory report not related to any disciplinary action from the destination university. Intra university candidates are required to fulfil university, faculty and departmental courses specifications for 100 level students.

However, candidates transferring within the university are expected to have passed all their 100 level courses before they can be considered (i.e. no Course Still Outstanding  (CSO). They are also expected to meet the departmental requirements of such prevailing academic session.

(C) THREE (3) – YEAR DURATION (300 Level Entry Point)

(i) B.Sc. Cyber Security

(ii) B.Sc. Business Administration

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR C (i)

In addition: to the O’ level requirements stated under A (i) – (ii), applicants must possess any of :

• HND or its equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in relevant disciplines with minimum of Lower Credit B.Sc. with pass in relevant discipline may be considered for Business Administration.
• At least Upper Credit Pass in Higher National Diploma (HND) in Cyber Security from recognized University or its equivalents (for Cyber Security).

Cyber Security 

• A candidate may be eligible for admission to 300 level if they have the following requirements in addition to University Admission requirements
• Five (5) Credit passes at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Economics and Geography.
• At least Upper Credit Pass in Higher National Diploma (HND) in Cyber Security from a recognized polytechnic or its equivalent

(D) Top-Up/Conversion Programme

The duration of the programme is generally two (2) years of six semesters and it is available in the following disciplines:

1. B.Sc. Accounting
2. B.Sc. Computer Science
3. B.Sc. Business Administration

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR TOP-UP/CONVERSION PROGRAMMES
B.Sc. Accounting
Applicants must possess five (5) O’ Level Credit passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics and Economics and any two of Financial Accounting, Marketing, Commerce or any other related subjects. Applicants with English Language, Mathematics and Economics with any two of science subjects may also be admitted.
In addition to O’ Level requirements, applicants must have any of the following;

1. HND or its equivalent from a recognized Polytechnic or LAUTECH Full Professional Diploma in relevant disciplines with minimum of Lower Credit
2. Applicants with relevant professional qualifications such as ACA, CIBN, ANAN, CII, CITN, CIMARK without HND may be considered as professional candidates

B.Sc. Computer Science
Applicants must satisfy the following admission requirements:

1. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two relevant science subjects
2. In addition to satisfying the required O’ Level subjects, applicants must possess HND in any of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Physics Electronics, Statistics, Pure and Applied Mathematics, Cyber Security, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering with at least lower credit from NBTE licensed Polytechnics OR CPN Certificate.

B.Sc. Business Administration
Applicants must possess five (5) O’ Level Credit passes in SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB at not more than two (2) sittings in English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two subjects.
In addition to O’ Level requirements, applicants should possess at least one of the following;

1. HND or its equivalent in a relevant discipline with a minimum of Lower Credit
2. B.Sc. with a Third Class in a relevant discipline

Candidates with relevant professional qualifications (obtained through examination) from certified professional bodies such as NIM, CIPM, CIA, CIMARK, ICSAN, without HND may be considered for admission
